Surrogate Motherhood

The surrogacy is the process through which a woman agrees to gestate the embryo of another person.

A couple who has decided to have a child with a surrogate mother, after having picked the woman who will gestate the embryo, should follow the prescribed legal process and provide the necessary judicial approval.

In many European countries surrogacy is prohibited, whereas in Greece it has been legal since 2002 (Law 3089/2002).
