My story with ISTITUTE OF LIFE (IOLIFE) Dr. ATTANASIO GARAVELAS of ATHENS

Hi to all, I decided to tell my story to support and encourage the fear of all women about artificial fertilization, but above all donation of eggs.

I’m 43 and with my partner we’ve been looking for a couple of years of pregnancy, After many attempts with ovarian stimulation and targeted reports and having had spontaneous abortion due to the poor quality of my oocytes, we decided to resort to ‘ egg donation.

I contacted several Italian and foreign centers such as France, Spain, Switzerland and the Czech Republic but prices were excessive for my finances. So I started looking for clinics in Greece. I contacted her all but the only one who really trusted me was the INSTITUTE OF LIFE (IOLIFE) in Athens.

I talked to Doctor ATTANASIO GARAVELAS (speaks very well Italian) that has reassured me and encouraged me right away to clarify my doubts. I started this course, performing all the examinations required, I was assigned the 24-year exclusive donor who gave me 11 oocytes of which 7 fertilized and 6 became blastocyst. Day 1 November I was made by Dr. Garavelas of two Blastocists and after 13 days I made the Beta with positive resultooooooooo !!!! I thank my Doctor Garavelas (who will still have to support and follow up to the third month of pregnancy) for the professionalism and availability received (immediately respond to my email at any time for doubts, fears and dosage medications). They are all good, embryologists, nurses and even his assistant for Italian couples, it seems to me that he is called Kostantina. Prices are affordable and you really have a lot of professionalism.

And I thank my donor … … that thanks to her it was possible to realize my dream … … next week I will have to do the ultrasound …, cross my fingers … .and ,,,, hopefully go well … .and courage and beak at the stork at all !!!!

Hi girls,

I like so many I had endometriosis problems that took me away from the possibility of conceiving a child naturally. I have never lost hope and I have decided to embark on the pipeline path, the only solution to my problem.

After two attempts in Spain failed, my husband and I had almost lost hopes, until one day browsing the internet, I saw in a forum the review of a couple who had been to IOLIFE in Athens and spoke to her very well. We visited the site and took first contact with Dr. Garavelas, Scientific Coordinator of Italy, who has demonstrated professionalism and sensibility in dealing with our problem.

What about this center: the costs are lower than Spain, there are no waiting lists, they respond immediately to the email and they are all very kind.

After the first attempt I am pregnant by 5 months of a boy and despite the late pregnancy I have never abandoned and continue to follow my route via e-mail.

We have our happiness to them, our desire has finally come true and I want all women to know that there are serious centers like Iolife willing to help couples in trouble and above all to give everyone the opportunity to be parents. Never miss the hopes !!!!!!

Hello ,

I also wanted to tell you about my ovodonation experience. I’m Roby and I’ll be 42 in September. In Italy, you tried 3 with Fivet, the first of which was successful but unfortunately at 17 weeks I had a therapeutic abortion. But I never gave up like we should all do. In fact, last year after my gin told me that with my eggs I could no longer try I’m up to the Iolife, an avian center where both Dr. GARAVELAS ATTANASIO and his collaborators are very kind and you are always close at all times of the journey. You know there are no waiting lists in this center. You can go to your site to find their email where you can ask for a first appointment and after a couple of days they will call you by phone to give you the first appointment. I’m pregnant at the 18th week of two wonderful bioamnionic twins. If you have any further information, you can also contact me privately. In the mouth in the wolf. Kisses

Hello ,

I’m Daniela and I’m 42, (December 43).

I’m just writing to tell you about my ovodonation experience at Iola Clinic (IOLIFE) in Athens where I found myself very well.

Now I’m waiting for two wonderful twins, I’m at 23rd week and still a few times find it hard to believe; then I feel the kicks and heads of my two little ones and I realize that it’s all true.

You know until last year even I had lost all hope; after 11 years of marriage and 3 failed attempts by Fivet and after my gin had told me that by now with my ovaries I could no longer try to have children, I felt lost.

But at the same time he advised me to go to Greece by a colleague at Athens’ Iaso, Dr. Garavelas is a younger boy than me, but with a lot of experience, and try to do an ovodonation.

Only eight months have passed since our first trip to Athens and I am here today, in anticipation of my two beautiful children who will finally be able to know and love in the last 3 months from the very first day of my life.

My advice is to never give up and you will see that you too can realize your dream of becoming a mother

Good luck.

hello i have 36 years i do do rome after 3 years of turn and twist cycle disorders i have diagnosed an early ovarian failure … commonly called menopause, the stroke was tough, I ended the tears … but i have an open door, the ovodonation … today I was from a Greek doctor who has a clinic in Greece but he relies every month at a clinic here in Rome … morale? Wednesday and my husband we begin our journey to get to the pipeline … the desire for maternity surpasses any barrier, which is then only mental. I would be happier and more grateful if someone who has already told him a little about himself.

Hello ,

I’m 41 and after some homologous attempts in italy we went to the pipeline in Greece.

The first ovodonation unfortunately did not go, but I still have 4 embryos waiting for me, in January it starts again!

The center is located in Athens and the doctor is called Garavelas. They are all really great!

Their humanity is tangible and make you feel at ease in every situation!

Costs are low compared to other centers, perhaps because they are still little known …

the site is this: https://garavelas.it/la-clinica-iaso/

The place is beautiful, and an opportunity to make a small vacation at reasonable prices (hotels, flights and restaurants are really priced!)

Good luck!

“Our story is like many, and today we can tell her hoping to give hope to those who are preparing to do this.

We start looking for a son when I’m 40, we give you a year to try it naturally, but the biological clock runs and we turn to a clinic here in Italy for assisted fertilization. The first step is the homologue. I respond well to therapy, but nothing happens. We also make the second attempt and nothing else. There is no two without the three, so they say, and we repeat, knowing it will be the last one. Not this time either.

We are now at that juncture we feared: to give up on a child or to consider the etherologist.

We are not ready to give up.

Through our gynecologist we come to the clinic in Athens.

Let’s take a first trip and on that occasion we know Dr. Garavelas. He will follow us in this new adventure. Very kind and helpful, it does not give us any guarantee of success (it’s right not to be disappointed with certainties that can not be given), but it’s optimistic. Success rates are good.

We fix everything. Let’s go back to Italy and start almost immediately with the therapy that first involves the suppression of my menstrual cycle to be able to align with the donor when the stimulation starts.

We understand immediately that we are followed step by step. And in that regard, I have to spend a few words on Dr. Garavelas’s assistant, Konstantina, who speaks Italian very well and is very supportive, always quick and precise in answering any of our questions.

The big day arrives and we go back to Athens. We’ll be there for 3 days.

The procedure for embryo transfer is very simple and painless.

Two blastocists are transferred.

Dr. Garavelas is satisfied and we return home full of hope.

It will be necessary to wait for Christmas to know if it’s okay.

Needless to say, the two weeks of waiting slide slowly (we have already passed).

And then finally the big day.

The beta hcgs are over 3,000.

I’m unequivocally pregnant !!!!

Now I’m at week 21 and everything goes for the best.

Fortune or fate is, special thanks goes to Dr. Garavelas that made us realize this dream. We will have a baby !!! ”

Dearest Doctor,

It does not pass day, for obvious reasons, that I think of you and of the great contribution that with your work make us women.

I was waiting to write you how much I felt followed, encouraged and quiet in your hands, just past this

period (between one puncture and the other). Afterwards, go for it, I will definitely write all my pleasant feelings in

so that other women with my own problem are also open to your heart.

I will never thank you enough for what you did and for how

you’ve always made us feel comfortable with me and my partner.

Good morning we are a mixed couple who has embarked on the path of ovodonation recently, now we are waiting for a baby! Our history starts from afar, with failed attempts through icsi and fivet, at a large hospital in Milan, almost abandoned hope to have a son, we were geared to international adoption, then in July of 2015, the turning point … first the change of gynecologist, then always through him the counsel on the possibility of having a son with the ovodonation, was during a visit we are after a meeting with Monza and their consultant, we started to have a tide of examinations. Meanwhile, we had already contacted Mrs. Konstantina (assistant to Dr. Garavelas) at a clinic and Dr. Garavelas. March 2016 we went to Athens for a cognitive encounter and donated the seed! already aware of what would be our path we returned to Milan with the intention of returning to Greece in November! During the months that followed, a major pharmacological preparation was made, in our case unfortunately there were serious problems of pressure for my wife , all in March returned to Athens in March! During these months the contact with Dr Garavelas and his staff was almost weekly, we can say that after an initial period we were upset, everything was happening regularly! March was made the transfer to my wife, a transfer performed personally by Dr. Garavelas, in a few minutes and in the clinic! we of course took advantage of x enjoying ATHENS and its history! The journey x the transfer was organized by Dr. Garavelas well, from arrival at the airport to the hotel stay! we were satisfied with what we did, and we want to say that nn c is nothing to say about the professionalism and competence of Dr Garavelas, and that is a person who is extraordinarily human, we have been well and we are happy to meet you! A son’s wish sometimes leads to a long way to look and hope for a dream come true! We are here in the third month, so it’s easy at times … especially for my wife, but they have felt the heart of the little one, and it was a huge emotion! We all recommend such a course, albeit difficult, knowing that no one can guarantee anything but no one is denied hope. !!thanks, see you soon!!

Hello to all,

is my first entry into the forum.

I’m in the eighth week and I’m still incredulous and fearful in declaring it, after so long I’ve been so long, I’m still focusing on the fact that desire has come true.

in the extreme I have gone from all phases, from the days of ovulation, to visits, to ultrasound to monitor ovulation, but always with no results and always with the feeling of feeling alone in my struggle.

I tried the etherologist twice in italy and failed miserably, I was about to get to the third disappointment when I discovered the promised land, or greece.

I met with Prof. Garavelas, in rome, and said the fact, timelessly wasted to make the same examinations for the millennium, without waiting list, nothing, simplicity and precision. So a month after the meeting I was in Athens and my puppy attacked without delay.

the truth is that Greece in this field is ten years ahead of us so it is clear that the results are different.

Hi everyone!
I would like to share all my satisfaction and joy in this forum!

After about 7 years of attempts, initially with fivet / icsi in Tuscany and then in Barcelona, we had lost hope. The embryos were formed well but to attack every time not even thinking about it
It was a hard path, made up of hopes and disappointments, hormonal treatments, mood swings, risks of hyperstimulation etc. etc.
After finishing all the embryos available in October 2017, we were resigned to not trying anymore.
Almost by chance browsing the internet I read of this Clinic in Athene the IO LIFE, of which the referent Dr. Attanasio Garavellas, we spoke very well; so I left the credentials to be contacted.
After a few weeks we were contacted by the clinic’s referent (very kind and speaks Italian!) Who told us that Dr. Garavellas would be in Italy in Rome and Milan on 2 dates in January.
So we set a first visit. The Doctor advised us to see the repeated failures, despite the age not too advanced, to try with an egg donation, reassuring about timing,% success and a large donor offer in order to be sure to have a profile more ‘ suitable for my connotations.
Obviously if on the one hand this made me reflect on the goodness of the choice, on the other there was a nice advantage in terms of hormonal stimulation that I would have avoided.
We decide to accept and try. So let’s have a first trip to Athene to see the environment and realize on the spot who we would have entrusted our hopes once again.
Once in Athene we went to the clinic, a beautiful modern structure, divided into 2 pavilions, 1 dedicated to infant medicine and 1 to assisted procreation.
We were finally welcomed as people and not as numbers, even as we stayed a few days we organized a tour to see the most ‘beautiful monuments and museums of athene! A show!
Remaining happily affected, we made a first check-up and set a new indicative date for the transfer of the embryo formed with the donor’s egg.
We are so back on March 26th and March 30th there was the Transfer.
During this time we were constantly followed both with the indications of therapy and the updating of the state of health.
On April 14th we made the first check of the Beta 1234 !!!! After two days we repeated 2769 !!!
We are today at 7 weeks and everything goes well! and if it is true that it is always early and we must be cautious, on the other hand we want to shout our joy, and thank Dr.Gavavelas and his staff, for the professionalism and affection that those who have and they are transmitting to us, but above all for this dream that allowed us to live !!

I am 41 years old with a very low ovarian reserve. I had been told by UK doctors that my chance of conceiving naturally or through IVF were negligible. So I thought I would give PRP ovarian Rejuvenation Therapy a go. The booking process was easy to arrange and at the clinic I had my own personal interpreter. The procedure was simple and quick and I was on a tour bus around Athens by 3pm the day of the procedure. I was amazed 40 days later after the procedure I had a positive pregnancy test! Dr Garavelas was so helpful with advice on medication to help support the pregnancy. Overall my experience of the procedure and the clinic has been nothing short of amazing.

I hope this helps. I would be happy to speak to any other British couples who are considering the procedure to talk about my experience.

Kind regards,

Norah

Just had fertility scan and the dr was shocked at what he saw. Whatever you have done my right ovary has eight follicles. The left one that is half the size and never worked appears to be 50% working and he could see four small follicles. When I get the results including bloods I will forward them to your team.

Thanks again

Glynis
